Later remarried Jane Neely in 1796 and moved to Pendleton District, SC

Thomas Buchanan filed his application for Revolutionary War Pension (DAR/Footnote) in 1831 from Bedford County, TN.  States he was born in PA in 1764 and served in Orange County, NC during the war 1781.  I found records he married first Mary Murdock in Orange County, NC in 1786.  Then remarried a Jane Neeley in 1796 and moved to Pendleton District, SC.  His son John Samuel Buchanan(died 1846 Court Record Bedford Co., TN), (mother Mary Murdock) married Jane Edwards in 1800, SC.  Thomas's pension papers goes on to say he moved to Kentucky and then to Bedford County, TN.  Rev George Newton ARP, witnessed the pension application.  George married Rachel Neeley a sister of Jane Neeley.
