A podcast is a collection of digital media files, in this case an mp3 or sound file that contains our 'radio show' which is distributed over the Internet, often using syndication feeds, for playback on portable media players and personal computers.

Well, you can simply visit our web site at www.techcasttoday.com and listen directly on the web page through the integrated flash player. The problem with this is you have to keep checking back to see when the podcast has been updated. A better option is to subscribe to it.

How do I subscribe to your podcast?

The best way to listen is to subscribe to the podcast using a program designed to keep your podcasts up to date, it will check automatically and deliver updates to you when they are made available. There are thousands of podcasts on the Internet that you can listen to.

The most popular way is to listen is to download a program called iTunes from Apple. It will keep itself up to date with whatever podcasts you subscribe to through the integrated iTunes music store. You can then use the iTunes program to playback the podcasts that you subscribe to. Or, better yet, if you have an iPod music player, you plug that into the computer where you have iTunes installed and it automatically copies your podcasts to your iPod so you can listen to them while you're on the go. An alternative to the iPod and iTunes is the Zune from Microsoft. It is also a portable music player like the iPod and comes with software to manage your music and podcasts as well. To subscribe to a podcast series that is not listed in the Zune Marketplace, follow these steps:

1. Start the Zune software.
2. Click Collection, and then click Podcasts.
   
3. Click Add a Podcast
4. Type in, or copy and paste, http://www.clickcaster.com/channels/techcasttoday.xml and click Subscribe. That's it! Our podcasts will begin downloading!
   

Iif you don't plan on using a portable music player, there is a program called Juice that you can use to subscribe to podcasts on your computer.
